Nowadays, sustainability is a common and important topic. But how do you apply this to your work, ensure your company is adopting sustainable business practices, and what does working sustainably actually mean?
Working sustainably is of course better and less harmful to the environment. Additionally, it's better for people, but also for business operations. After all, costs are saved in both the short and long term!
Switching to sustainable business practices doesn't have to be difficult. At Cyklop, we try to offer you sustainable products. We do this by, for example, reducing packaging waste, encouraging recycling, and promoting ergonomics as much as possible. Sustainability looks different for every company. We have highlighted a number of approaches:
- Using less packaging material
- Promoting ergonomic working
- Encouraging recycling
Using less packaging material
We make packaging material lighter through our well-known nano film, for example. Nano film is a stronger, thinner film than regular stretch wrap. By using this, 70% less plastic film is wrapped around the pallet. Additionally, you save on packaging costs and rolls need to be changed less frequently. You could say this is truly sustainable and good for the environment.

Promoting ergonomic working
Cyklop considers it important to promote ergonomic working, as this reduces the risk of strain and therefore sick leave. Take our Lapomatic as an example. When manually closing boxes, strain is placed on the wrist, which can be taxing. Our Lapomatic comes to the rescue by taking over the operator's tasks, making the process much less strenuous.
Additionally, a wrapping robot is also a good investment for becoming more sustainable. By investing in a pallet wrapper, even more film can be saved than when done by hand. The pallet wrapper wraps tightly and with pre-stretch, resulting in less film consumption.
Encouraging recycling
In our range, we have various products that can be recycled, such as our PET strapping. During the production process, raw materials are used that are 98% derived from recycled material. Using PET strapping means you consume less energy in the production process. Additionally, the production process is 100% recyclable. So choose environmentally conscious and go for PET strapping.
We also offer paper strapping tape. Paper strapping tape is an environmentally friendly alternative to plastic and steel strapping. It's strong, gives good results, and maintains its shape and sturdiness, even when wet. This product is also fully recyclable through normal paper waste streams. It can be used on the M-PAC V and Ampag Boxer II. So don't hesitate and switch to paper strapping tape!
Conclusion
In these three ways, we operate more sustainably and try to do our part for the environment. Just like us, start adopting sustainable practices and make the world a little better every day. We do it together, but it starts with you!
