In a global industrial environment shaped by rapid change, technological evolution, and increasing social complexity, companies are called to do more than deliver products and performance. They are expected to act responsibly — contributing to sustainable growth not only economically, but socially.

At Cyklop, this responsibility is embedded in our values. As an international group with a long-standing industrial tradition, we believe that sustainable success is built on people. Innovation, operational excellence, and customer focus all begin with one essential factor: inclusive, skilled, and motivated teams.

Across the Group, our commitment to responsible business practices reflects our belief that long-term growth must go hand in hand with social contribution. Inclusion is not a parallel initiative — it is part of how we operate.

Inclusion at Cyklop Italy: Turning Values into Action

At Cyklop Italy, we translate these principles into concrete actions within our local community. Our approach to inclusion focuses particularly on two important areas:

  • Integration of refugees seeking structured employment pathways
  • Inclusion of people with disabilities in meaningful working roles

We believe that access to employment is one of the most powerful tools for building dignity, independence, and long-term stability. For companies, it is also an opportunity to expand talent pools, strengthen team culture, and contribute positively to society.

Rather than viewing inclusion as a social obligation separate from business operations, we integrate it directly into our production and organizational processes.

Creating Pathways, Not Exceptions

One example of this commitment is the journey of Shadahat, a young apprentice at our Zucchelli tape dispenser production site.

Originally from Bangladesh, Shadahat arrived in Europe in search of opportunity and stability. Through our collaboration with local organizations supporting refugee integration, he began his professional journey at Cyklop Italy as an intern within our manufacturing department.

This was not a symbolic placement. It was a structured internship designed to provide hands-on training, mentorship, and the possibility of professional growth.

Supported by his tutor Francesca, Shadahat gradually developed his technical skills and confidence. While initial communication challenges required patience and adaptation, the experience quickly evolved into a strong collaborative relationship.

Over the course of a year-long apprenticeship, he demonstrated dedication, reliability, and a strong willingness to learn. Today, he is a valued team member contributing actively to production.

His story reflects an important principle: inclusion does not mean lowering standards. It means creating fair access to opportunity while maintaining the same expectations of quality, responsibility, and performance.

Inclusion and Disability: Expanding Participation

Beyond refugee integration, Cyklop Italy is also actively engaged in including individuals with disabilities in meaningful roles within our organization.

We work closely with local entities and employment services to identify opportunities that align individual capabilities with operational needs. This approach ensures that inclusion is sustainable and integrated — not temporary or symbolic.

When properly supported, diverse abilities contribute to team stability, attention to detail, and strong commitment. Moreover, inclusive workplaces foster empathy, collaboration, and stronger internal communication across all departments.

Inclusion strengthens culture.

The Business Case for Social Responsibility

There is often a misconception that social responsibility competes with operational efficiency. Our experience shows the opposite.

Inclusive practices contribute to:

  • Stronger team cohesion
  • Higher engagement and loyalty
  • Broader perspectives in problem-solving
  • Enhanced corporate reputation
  • Long-term workforce sustainability

In a manufacturing environment where skilled labor is increasingly valuable, expanding access to employment through inclusive policies is both socially responsible and strategically sound.

For Cyklop Italy, inclusion is not philanthropy. It is a conscious investment in people as drivers of long-term resilience.

From Local Action to Group Values

As part of the Cyklop Group, we are proud to contribute locally to a global vision of responsible growth. While each subsidiary operates within its specific social and economic context, our shared values guide us:

  • Respect
  • Accountability
  • Quality
  • Long-term partnership

Inclusion reflects all of these principles. It requires respect for individual potential, accountability in creating real opportunities, and commitment to long-term development.

By aligning local initiatives with Group values, Cyklop Italy demonstrates how global responsibility can be implemented through local action.

Building Futures Together

Inclusion is not achieved through statements alone. It is built through mentorship, structured training, collaboration, and consistent commitment.

Whether supporting refugees entering the workforce or creating meaningful roles for people with disabilities, our objective remains the same: to create an environment where individuals can develop skills, contribute professionally, and build a stable future.

At Cyklop Italy, we are convinced that diversity strengthens performance. Different life experiences bring resilience, adaptability, and new perspectives — qualities that enhance innovation and operational excellence.

As a company operating in an interconnected global economy, we recognize that our responsibility extends beyond production targets. By investing in inclusive employment practices, we invest in stronger communities, more resilient teams, and sustainable growth.

Because ultimately, building products is important —
but building opportunity is transformative.
