Iatcov explained that paper tape is the preferred environmentally friendly solution for closing cardboard and corrugated paper boxes.

“Paper tape is available in both a self-adhesive format and a gummed paper format. Gummed paper tape sticks to a box’s surface only after the adhesive layer is activated with water. This is why a special paper tape dispenser is required for application. After use, both the packaging box and the tape can be recycled,” Iatcov said.

It is suitable for closing large quantities of boxes with gummed paper tape and reduces tape waste and labor time with single-strip application and programmable tape lengths.
